Kimberly M. Crow, MA, LPC, CADC-III

I feel honored to have found an intersection between my passion and my vocation as a counselor. Yet, theater is where I first found ways to explore thoughts, feelings and behaviors with a sensitivity and respect for what it means to be human. My counseling work is informed by my love and study of theater.

“Really Talk/Really Listen.”

-Sanford Meisner

“Really talk/Really listen,” is how renowned acting teacher Sanford Meisner described how human connection requires listening and intuitive, genuine response. This, to me, is the essence of a relationship between a counselor and client: simple, authentic, and connected. From this point, we may explore your self in ways that are valid, deep, emotional, and sometimes joyful or surprising.

My approach integrates Motivational Interviewing, Mindful Self-Compassion, Person-Centered and psychodynamic psychotherapies. Sometimes I incorporate expressive arts therapies or specific protocols like EMDR. However, the core of my work is to connect through listening.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor in the State of Oregon. I hold an MA in Professional Mental Health Counseling - Addictions from Lewis & Clark College and a Certificate in Trauma Informed services from Portland State University. I received a BA in Theater from Willamette University.
