This is Buster.

He was my cat and my companion for 12 years. Buster first came into my life when I was deeply depressed. At the time, I could barely get out of bed in the morning. He allowed me to shift my perspective away from the constant dark and twisty thoughts and feelings, and helped me learn to be more self-compassionate. Adopting Buster was a major turning point in my own road to recovery. This personal healing journey led me to become a therapist.

Buster passed away on August 26, 2020. I am forever grateful for his companionship and presence in my life.
